We’re here to help with all your Chicago party planning needs! From themed balloon installations for birthdays to balloon arches for corporate events and grand openings, our goal is to make your Windy City event stress-free, stylish, and unforgettable. Here at Mauis Balloons we only use the highest quality balloons and materials for our decorations. However, some balloons do pop from time to time. We can not guarantee how long your balloons will last after they are delivered. The life span of balloons can depend on various external factors such as weather, children, pets, temperatures, etc.
In saying that, our balloons can last up to a month or more indoors (no guarantees), when they are kept out of heat and direct sunlight.
How long do your balloons last?
Will you deliver and install at my event?
Yes! We do offer delivery and installation depending on the location of the event. Delivery times are based on your event start time and venue availability.
Our day-of coordination services include vendor coordination, timeline creation, management, and on-site management to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day of your event. We will handle any issues that arise so you can enjoy your special day stress-free.
What is included in Mauis Balloons's day-of coordination services?
We offer a wide range of decorations, including balloon garlands, columns, centerpieces, arches, backdrop rentals, and marquee letter/number rentals. We can customize our decor to match your event theme and color scheme.
How tall are the marquee letters and numbers?
All of our marquee numbers are 4ft tall.

Event installations can vary depending on the size of the design. We do pre-blow our balloons to make things faster. On average, installations can be between 1-2 hours.
How long does installation take?
How far in advance do I need to book?
We recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment. The sooner you book, the better, as availability does get taken up. We strongly suggest booking at least two weeks in advance to ensure we are able to prepare your event in the best way possible.
What areas do you serve?
Mauis Balloons is based out of Streamwood, IL and we service the Chicagoland area as well as surrounding suburbs.
All of our rental items are typically considered one-day rentals or for the duration of the event. We do allow multiple-day rentals, but additional fees may apply.
How long are the rentals for?
Do you accept last-minute bookings?
Yes! We do accept last-minute bookings depending on our availability. However, with last-minute bookings, you might be limited to the balloon colors we have in stock. Some last-minute bookings may be subject to rush booking fees.
All of our marquees are a warm white color when lit up and all white on the outside. Unfortunately, we do not offer any other colors in the marquees.
Can the marquee letters/numbers change color?
wHAT HAPPENS IF THE BALLOONS POP OR DEFLATE EARLY?
While we use high-quality balloons and take every precaution to ensure they last through your event, balloons are delicate by nature and can be affected by temperature, weather, or handling. If any issues happen shortly after setup, please contact us right away — we’ll do our best to make it right, depending on the situation and timing. We recommend keeping balloons away from direct sunlight, sharp objects, and extreme heat to help them last longer
Upon booking, we require a signed letter of agreement as well as a 50% deposit of the total amount to reserve your date. Your event is considered reserved once we have received both the deposit and letter of agreement
What do you require for booking?
Can I pick up/drop off rental items myself?
Unfortunately, we do require that we deliver and pick up all of our rental equipment.
What if my venue has setup restriction or time limits?
No problem! Just let us know the setup and breakdown times required by your venue, and we’ll work around their schedule.
We currently accept Zelle, Venmo, cash, and credit cards for all bookings and payments. If you have any questions about payment, feel free to reach out!

We rented the pink flower wall for a floral themed graduation party and everything went perfectly! I am a professional photographer so I wanted it to look really nice, but also be within our budget...and we did not want to do it ourselves, we had enough to worry about with everything else! I literally researched and messaged dozens of rental places for flower walls and this worked out so perfectly! They answered all communication timely, the price was great, and the product was amazing. The flowers looked dimensional and really nice, it was the perfect height and width for what we needed. Maui Balloons did a backdrop and balloons for a second birthday truck theme and I cannot say enough good things.
